Surgery and Supplements
Written by Dr. Tel-Oren

QUESTION: My cousin faces the legs surgery due to arthritis problem (a cartridge worn out and the bones rubbing each other causing pain) Is it possible to avoid this surgery and take care of problem using the supplementals and vitamins? Thank you, Gregory

ANSWER: Hello Gregory, It's possible to regenerate some of the cartilage in certain cases, the success depending on each person's condition. Even in these amenable cases, however, it requires a lot of patience, perseverance with the use of supplements (which I can recommend), and specific exorcises that require time-investment. If the cartilage's erosion is not complete (difficult to tell from looking at x-ray) the chances for improvement increase.
