Grace (March 2013 Trek)

Grace (March 2013 Trek)

The trip was definitely a once in a life time experience. I was particularly impressed with the logistics and the sustainability of the Everest Learning Center and other ongoing projects in support of the Nepalese children. Nothing like seeing men conducting business and getting things accomplished on the side of a mountain top with snow capped mountains in the background. Dr. T is doing a great job. I am especially enjoying the black himalayan salt.

The thing that impressed me the most were the people. How people and animals live in peace and harmony with the land. It's the true meaning of "Life." The people take and give back to the land and they are truly happy and have a strong spirit. The people were friendly and always smiling. The trek and the weather was great. The support team (porter, guides and kitchen help) were very pleasant and helpful. We were always greeted with a smile and warm tea each morning and they were helpful on the trail as well. The views of the landscape, villages, people and animals were awesome, but I would have liked to see more arrows left on the trail for better directions on the trek. There were some confusion on which way to go once the faster trekked ahead.
We had a great trekking group and I believe everyone genuinely had a great time. Overall is was a great trip.
